November is a month to stop and have gratitude for all that we are and all that we have. We often get caught up in our everyday lives, so it’s important to stop and think about how far we’ve all come (whether that’s in the last weeks, months, or years).

One of the most effective methods of practicing gratitude is keeping a journal. Each day, take a few minutes to write down three to five things you’re thankful for. Over time, you’ll notice patterns and develop a more positive outlook.

Studies reveal that practicing gratitude can increase happiness, improve relationships, and improve sleep. When we consciously recognize and appreciate the positives in our lives, we shift our focus from what's wrong to what's right, breeding a sense of abundance rather than scarcity.

Create rituals around Thanksgiving or other gatherings where everyone shares something they are thankful for. These moments of shared gratitude can foster deeper connections and create joyful experiences.

It’s important to acknowledge that practicing gratitude can be challenging, especially during difficult times. During periods of stress or grief, it may feel like there’s little to be thankful for. It’s not about dismissing the hardships, it’s about finding balance amidst them.
