Are you looking for fun recipes to try out this June? Here are some fun in-season recipes that are both simple and delicious.

Bell Peppers for Stir Fry

Because bell peppers are so versatile, they are the perfect vegetable for a delicious stir fry. All you need for this simple stir fry is Bell Peppers, Bean Sprouts, and either Chicken or Steak Meat (not including sauces and spices).

Chicken

For chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces and move to skillet or pan. Put stove on medium heat and add ground ginger, pepper, seasoning salt, and teriyaki sauce.

While waiting for the chicken to cook, Julienne (slice around 1/4 inch) the bell peppers so they will be ready to put in the pan.

Add bell peppers and bean sprouts into the pan once the chicken is cooked.

While stirring everything together, add pineapple juice to flavor.

When the stir fry is finished, serve on rice (or noodles) and enjoy.

Steak

For steak (thinner cuts recommended), cut into thin strips (around half an inch) before moving into the pan. Turn on the heat and add salt, pepper, seasoning salt, and sweet chili sauce.

Cut bell peppers while the steak meat cooks (as seen in the chicken stir fry recipe).

Add bell peppers and bean sprouts into the pan, and add orange sauce to taste.

Serve on rice or noodles when finished.

Homemade Strawberry Milk

Homemade Strawberry Milk is a simple drink to beat the heat of the summer, and it's relatively easy to make. You only need three ingredients for this recipe: Milk, Strawberries, and Sugar.

It is recommended to chill your milk before making the syrup to ensure it's cold when mixed.

First, chop strawberries into small pieces (about the size of your pinky nail). In a small pot, add equal parts water and sugar.

For every cup of sugar water, use one cup of chopped strawberries.

Add the chopped strawberries to the sugar water and bring it to a low boil. Only stir occasionally until fragrant and syrupy.

Use a strainer to move the syrup into a small bowl or cup, then add the syrup to your milk. How much syrup you put in will depend on your personal preference.

(I would save the bits of strawberry that didn't make it through the strainer to use for fruit salsa.)

Fruit Salsa Recipe

Fruit Salsa is a sweet twist to the delicious appetizer of salsa or pico de gallo. The best part is you can easily customize this snack to fit your tastes and preferences!

All you need to do is chop fruits of your choosing into small pieces and put them in a bowl. Squeeze a lime (or lemon if you want it a little sweeter) into the bowl. Stir the lime (or lemon) juice and top with cilantro.

I would recommend using mango, pineapple, banana, kiwi, and strawberry pieces for the chopped fruit and using lemon juice.

You can eat this alone or with these easy homemade sweet tortilla chips.

Sweet Tortilla Chips

All you need for homemade tortilla chips are store-bought tortillas (corn is recommended), butter, and cinnamon sugar.

Preheat the oven to 375F

Cut tortilla(s) into six chip-sized pieces and brush with melted butter.

Lay the chips onto a baking sheet (do NOT overlap them.

Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake in the oven until golden brown and crisp (should take around 10 minutes).
