Halloween Season 2021: (Nearly) Everything to Do in Southeast Idaho

Halloween season is upon us, and with it comes a wide selection of spooks and attractions. From corn and straw mazes to haunted mills and hospitals, there is something for everyone in Southeast Idaho. So whether you are looking for activities and events in your town or want to travel a bit, here is (nearly) everything you can look forward to this October.

Halloween Season Events

Greater Pocatello Area

  • Pocatello/Chubbuck

    • 13th Annual Haunted History Walking Tours

      • “Visit, inside and out, four different haunted buildings in Historic Downtown Pocatello as you learn the history and experience the haunts. Presented by SPIRO Paranormal and Historic Downtown Pocatello.”

    • The Friendship Club Haunted Carnival

      • “A haunted carnival made for kids and families. Various games and prizes.

    • Trick-or-Treat Downtown

      • “Local merchants and businesses will hand out treats in Historic Downtown Pocatello. Come in costume and walk business to business enjoying a safe, daytime Halloween event.

    • Community Pumpkin Carving Contest

      • “A free community pumpkin carving contest at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building. There will be prizes, cider and family fun.”

    • SPTA Halloween Costume Fun Run/Walk 5K

      • “Starting at Cadet Field next to Reed Gym on the Pocatello Idaho State University campus will be the 12th annual SPTA Fun Run! Participants are encouraged to run in their Halloween costume.”

    • Trick-or-Treat SRD's Petting Zoo

      • Snake River Doodle’s Therapy will be hosting their 6th annual free petting zoo trick-or-treat. Games will also be available to play.

    • SRD’s Haunted Funhouse

      • Various spooky attractions including a hayride, movie showings, and of course a haunted acre with multiple levels of scare.

Greater Idaho Falls Area

  • Idaho Falls

    • Boo at the Idaho Falls Zoo 2021

      • “Enjoy over 500,000 lights, 1000 pumpkins, light sculptures, decorations and trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo.

    • LGBTQ+ Family Friendly Halloween Event

      • “Held at Tautphaus Park Shelter 1, and open to friends, family, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, there will be ice breaker games, Halloween crafts, and a Halloween costume runway show. Family-friendly drinks and all of the crafting materials will be provided.”

    • Raining Candy! Halloween Candy Blast and Food Trucks

      • Located at U-Pick Red Barn, there will be Train Rides, Corn Pits, Straw Maze, Jumper Pillows, 70 ft. Slides, Hayrides, food trucks, and lots of candy. Costs $10 to get in.

      • Follow step-by-step instructions to create a black-light Halloween Painting at Frosty Gator. Admission to the class is $30 and all supplies will be provided.

    • The Haunted Mill
