ISU Fall Activities

Last week we wrote about campus resources for current and incoming students. This week, let’s focus on the fun! ISU has many, many activities for students, staff, faculty, and the community. Below are some upcoming fall activities.

 

  • Welcome Back Orange and Black-Welcome Back Orange & Black will be hosted Downtown (Pocatello) on Monday, August 21. From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. the business community of Pocatello and Chubbuck will welcome back our ISU Bengals.
  • Idaho Central Credit Union Bengal Alumni Center Dedication -1601 E. Bonneville -Idaho Central Credit Union Bengal Alumni Center Dedication on Friday, August 25, at 11 a.m. to celebrate the support and contributions from our Idaho State alumni and community!   • ISU Football Games- The ISU football season kicks off on September 2 in San Diego. The first home game is on Saturday, September 16 at 4:00 pm. This season’s full football schedule can be found here. 
  • ISU Women’s Soccer Games- ISU Women’s Soccer team’s season is well underway. Their first home match is slated for Sunday, August 27 at 12 noon. This season’s full schedule can be found here. 
  • Sports-Football and soccer are just two of the sports teams that call ISU home. To see a full list of sports and game schedules please visit ISU’s athletic page found here. 
  • Performing Arts-ISU also has a state-of-the-art performing arts center. L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is host to concerts, plays, and many other events throughout the year. For a full list of activities held at the SPAC please visit the website found here. 
  • ISU Bengal Theatre-ISU’s Bengal Theatre shows movies throughout the school year and the summer. The movies are affordable (free to ISU students with a Bengal Card). Check back with the theatre here. 
  • ISU Theatre and Dance- ISU Theatre and Dance students host performances throughout the school year. For a list of upcoming performances please visit the website found here. 
  • Idaho Museum of Natural History - ISU is home to the Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH). IMNH is host to a rotation of exciting and informative exhibits and activities (as a child, I attended Dinosaur Camp at the museum).   • Other performances- ISU Civic Symphony’s concert season can be found here.
